55 Yamaha identification no model or serial # labels

Is there any place other than the 2 raised bosses on the mounting bracket to find a model # on a 55 Yamaha outboard. Both labels are gone and I have no idea what year it is. Considering buying but need to know more about it.

I suspect this is a C55 or a CV55.

C55 has power trim and tilt. CV55 does not.

CV55 was only offered for two years. C55 for four years. Mostly they are one and the same motor.

Look for some numbers on the carburetors. If you find 697 that is confirmation of a C55 or CV55 carburetor.
