Is there a source for the two line pressurized fuel system used by this engine . . . (my hose is kaput) or did I not read something about a conversion kit that converts the pressurized system to a, well, suction system as is used with modern outboards.

Yes, search the forum. There are many threads on converting from a dual line system to a single line system. You need to add in a fuel pump, fitting, hose, etc.

And you can get the dual line hose also. Try here : vintageoutboard.com

it really depends on the motor you have. laingsoutboards.com has the rebuild kits for the pressurised tanks, and hoses by the foot. you have to know which tank you have, plastic or metal button you press to pump up pressure. there is nothing wrong with using the pressurized tank.

If you just need hose go to any autoparts store and get about 10' of 3/16 ID fuel line hose. It's made for todays fuel and is alcohol resistant. Cut it in half and clamp it on the connectors. It's alot cheaper than the double hose unless you want that original look.

Twin hose should be available here at iboats, our sponser, or NAPA auto parts.

I would suggest buying it through http://www.laingsoutboards.com/newpage4.htm It will cost more, but I think it would be worth the money not to have to hassle with trying to tape the single line hose together with electrical tape or something like that. It is item number 8051 and is sold $2.00 per foot.

Good Luck. That's a great little motor. I've got the exact same motor and I really enjoy it. It is so easy to work on.
