OK, here's a new thread about an issue I've posted about before.
Every time I read a post about this motor there were numerous comments about what gas hogs these motors were/are. A few people have stated that part of the problem was a dump hose from the bottom of the intake manifold into the exhaust.
I bought this motor this way. (NO dump hose). I ran it on a lake and there was NO OIL SLICK anywhere. Idled a long time too. The issue is that I DO NOT have a problem with the motor, but I'm very curious why I don't have one (based on other persons comments) It seems that it's been modified and I'd like to know more about the possible modifications. If we can figure it out, it just might help other people with a motor like this one.
So here's the photo of it again for your review. I've also heard from one knowledgable person that there shouldn't be a dump hose on it, so I'm even more confused.
I hope we can figure this out.
