My motor runs great pulls my skiers at 20 mph for about 3/4 mile looses power and cuts to idle or dies, after a rest of about 1 minute runs fine for the same distance. I rebuilt the carbs, insatalled an inline fuel filter, checked the vaccum release on the tank, compression is 88-90 on all cylenders, I am thinking coils? Update from this morning when I ran a new compression test I was getting around 70psi and it would barely turn over, I squirted in a bit of WD40 in each cylinder and I am turning free with 90psi. Maybee my problem is overheat, or fuel mix. on the advice of 3 local marina's I reduced my oil mix from 24:1 to 50:1.<br />another symptom I noticed is a lot of fuel on the water. could my problem be the fuel pump?
