I've recently bought a boat with a 1959 35hp johnson/evinrude(?) seahorse motor on it. this is my first boat and even though i'm an engine mechanic by trade, i have no idea how to work on a boat motor. while inspecting the motor i discovered that the main wire harness that connects to the motor has some corroded and broken wires in it. is there any place that i can order a new wire harness and possibly a service and repair manual for this motor. any help would be much appreciated. thank you

Agreed. I ran my own due to PO cutting most of the wires off. Used standard wire protection sleeve, but darn, that's a pretty harness there on nymarine :)!

You can get the factory Manual here. move up the page and click on "Johnson Manuals".

That is a good tidbit of info! Did you happen to take any pictures of how you did it? I will need to look at the connector again and see if it can be taken apart and reassembled with new wires.

Thanks for the tip!
