5m fuel line ?

what would be the best dia pipe for a 115hp mercury with the fuel tank in the bow ? and the length would be around the 5 m . and would the fuel pump cope with this set up ? any comments or thoughs on this will be greatfully recieved ....thanks :confused:

I used 3/8 with a 90hp motor and it worked just fine. It was about the same distance too.

I would suggest that you confirm that your motor is not experiencing any fuel starvation issues with that new setup. Fuel starvation can result in a lean fuel/air mixture causing serious engine failure. Mercury published an Advisory that describes how to test for fuel starvation. You only need a vacuum gauge, several inches of extra fuel hose, and a t-connector to do the recommended tests. See link below.

Martin, That motor would usually have a 5/16" fuel line. However with the distance involved, I recommend you go to a 3/8" fuel line.
