6.0 Johnson Information

This is what I have. 6.0 hp Johnson.. Mod#= J6RCUD, Ser#= B 7388653, Outboard Marine Corp = Blegium. What I need to obtain is an owners manual and year made...Or information to locate manual. Fuel mix, plug gap, lower end fluid type info, etc when responding would be great. -Steve

Welcome Steve!<br /><br />Your engine is a 1987. <br /><br />Plugs are Champion QL77J4C or a QL86C, both gapped at .030.<br /><br />Fuel mix is 50:1....one pint oil to 6 gal of gas.<br /><br />Gear lube can be any good recommended gear case lube for mechanical shifts.<br /><br />You can get reprints of the original OEM manuals from Ken Cook Co., Marine.com, outboardwizard. Just do a search for them.<br /><br />Generic manuals are good for general tune ups and can be bought right here on iboats. Just look at the bottom of the page for "Manuals".<br /><br />Good Luck!
