Interceptor, ANY amount of rtv is excessive. These gaskets do not get any kind of gasket sealer, they should be installed dry. Congratts....I think you have solved your problem. I can't see anything in the pics because of the gaskets and rtv gunk, but make sure your manifolds and risers are in good shape before re-installing. The mating surfaces should be flat, clean and smooth and you should have 1/4 inch of solid metal all the way around the water jacket ports.

Yeah, I know not to put anything on the gasket. I sure hope this solves the problem....got my new gaskets today....also ordered a $42.00 water distribution tube that I broke while re-installing today. Thought I would get to water test tomorrow, but will probably be next week now (acutally I think I can do a temporary fix on the tube and still test tomorrow). Ain't boating wonderful.... :p
