I have a question.. my 1968ish 6hp only runs with the choke full on, and of course, has only half power... tells me, too much air, or not enough fuel... anyway, there a 3 ports on top of the carb... a cap and a shot plug on the channel the low idle screw goes into. To the left of this channel, there is what appears to be another channel ( near where the screw for the choke detent goes). This channel has an open port on it, and it draws vacuum. When I put my finger over it, the revs scream high, and it starts to sound like old times. Is there supposed to be a ball sealing this, or is it a bowl vent?
