6 hp evinrude

aloha<br />i have a 6 hp evinrude(silver in color)<br />where do I look to find all the info i need so I can order a manual and also replace the impeller..<br />...its not urinating correctly,might have a prostate problem ha

Look for a plate on the port side of the transom bracket. There should be two sets of characters, the first being the model number.<br /><br />Then check here for the year:<br /> 6HP Evinrude Models

i have looked reel good!cant find that #<br />i got the motor 2nd hand and plate could have been broken off?<br />i did find a #in that area one is 4483 one is389624 D1<br />Im trying to replace the impeller and am not sure if i need to disengage shaft up in the head or not(learned that on this site lurking)

Look on the top of the engine block near the cylinder head for a round convex metal plate about 1" diameter. <br /><br />The numbers would also be stamped there.

found a # across from spark plug on head ...325163-d2<br />and anouther one #387719-d1 this#is on a part next to the head duhh<br />I apologize for my motor Ignorance<br />muggy

325163 is a part number for a cylinder head which was only listed for 1979. <br /><br />It was superceded by part number 325666.<br /><br />Look on the parts diagram at the Bombardier site and see if your other parts are 1979. web page
