Im looking for a trailer for my 22'7" boat that weighs 3500lbs, it's only gonna travel side roads for a distance of 4 miles once in spring and once in fall. I found a single axle that has the length and has a 6 bolt lug pattern and 15" wheels with a total of 24 rollers, seller says it had a 3500lb boat on it. Considering the overall size and lug pattern and tire size can i be reasonably certain this trailer can handle the weight and winter storage? I do remember reading about 6 lugs being heavier duty.
Of course the VIN sticker and info is washed out.

Re: 6 lug wheels

6 lug axles are 5500lb axles. So, if your boat weights 3500# and the trailer is less than 2000# (I am sure it is) then this is what you need. The single 5500 lb axle will be plenty...
