Just purchased first boat- can't take my 3yr old out on my float-tube. Got a good deal on a used boat and Evinrude 60hp motor, Model NO. 60173 C, Serial NO. J04417. First time out today, motor idles great but dies out at full throttle. Searched the site and will try the fuel bulb trick to check the fuel pump. What year is this motor? I did not notice any water spraying out the back of the motor. Is this OK? Where should the coolant water come out? I have scheduled a tune up at the local dealer, but to save money would like to change the gear oil myself. Where do I begin? Great site. Thanks for any help.
