Have 1992 Mercury 60. You couldn't ask for a motor to start and idle better. When you try to throtle up, it smothers out. Checked Trigger and replaced stator. Cleaned carbs, checked fuel. Help

Motor seems to run fine for the first 30 to 45 minutes. Then starts and idles, but will not take full throtle. At idle, you can go to full power manually, but when you put it under a load, it bogs down.

Did you do check the timing after you changed the stator? A link and synch procedure might cure the problem.

Has the gasket/diphram on the fuel pump been changed? I had this same issue on a 70hp and found that at high pressure the diapham was failing allowing fuel to get sucked in and foul out a plug. It would take off and run WOT then die when the pressure was to great on the diaphram.
