Well, I mounted the engine this weekend. I put a trash can under it with water, hooked up a battery and gas, and it cranked right up. Ran and shifted pretty good. I then put in new plugs and adjusted the carb and it smoothed out. Sort oh some oil in the water for what I guess is shot lower unit seals, all seems well. Now I'll start cleaning it up (paint, etc.), new seals, and I'll be on my way. Still going to look for a generator...

Oil in the water is normal. If you have a pre-1964 motor, they're supposed to be run with 24:1 mix. They'll get messy in the barrel. As far as looking for a generator, try the salvage yards in the "Top Secret File" also. There should be someone there that can help you.
