61' 400 starting

we just got this motor and were trying to start it....we cleaned the carbs and checked the points in the distributor and get new plugs. we checked all along the way of the ignition system with a ohem meter and were getting about 1k. have no idea whats wrong and need a responce fast!

clean the points use 400-600 grit sand paper. check the condition of the coil usually good if all melted all over replace. adjust points at .008-.010
