65 merc sitting

well it was sitting for a few years not winterized so how do i go about trying to get thing started? any tips on this thing or maybe a howto write up

i think the gas will need drained carb cleaned and new plugs

You're going to have to at least rebuild the carbs and replace the impeller,but first spray a little fogging oil in the cylinders,crank it over and then hook up the muffs and see if the old girl will start.:)

impeller same as propeller? if not can i get a pic gimme a car i know it but boats are new

The impeller is the water pump and is located on the top of the lower gearcase. You should do a search here on i boats and get the service manuel for your motor. Did you get it to start ???

didnt try ran out of light it looks like onthe side theres two things with high pressure lines going to them what are they? their lines are cracked should i replace?
i took the case off the top and it looks rough but salvageable lol ill get pics next chance

Black lines, behind the fuel lines, going on to the block? or on the distributor side going to the cap, and front of the cowl?

block lines with high pressure ends on them like small hydrolic hoses

Those lines are for lubricating the bearings, if they are cracked they must be replaced. You most likely can't get the actual hose's anymore, and will have to make your own. I think any fuel grade line of the correct diameter will work.
