'66? 33 hp SkiTwin - Not starting after running - Help Please!

Have what I believe to be a 66 33 hp Evinrude Ski Twin on the back of an 82 Sea Nymph. Just purchased and due to personal issues did not have time to fully test prior to running it on the lake. Started fine in the tub, started fine when we got it in the water. Used it for a morning drift fishing, start, run back to the drift start, repeat. After lunch and going back out, the boat will no longer start.

It's getting gas and tried ether, so not likely carb issue. I'll be replacing the plugs but anything else to look at? Is this a points and condenser motor? I was rushed getting it in, so apologize in advance for not having the manual, etc.

Yes this motor has a magneto ignition.

Before you throw parts at it, you need to do some troubleshooting.

What is your starting procedure step by step?

Always start be testing compression. If all is well, test spark with an adjustable tester, with the air gap set to about 1/4". The spark should jump this gap with a bright blue ZAP!!

If you have good spark and compression, try spraying pre mixed fuel into the cylinder, not ether. If it pops on that, she is not getting mix.
