'66 evinrude 18hp cracked swivel brackett....

I just recently got a 1966 evinrude fastwin 18hp in excellent shape, the only thing wrong with it is that the swivel brackett (sorry if thats not the correct term) is cracked on one side. I was able to remove the cracked side very easily but i cannot seem to find a replacement other than replacing the whole assembly. If anyone has one of these kicking around somewhere or could point me to a relatively cheap source that would be great.

how bad is it cracked?

i got a crakc to in a way. on the left of my steering brasket the whole thing just broke in a unconvient spot too. well my grandfather took a meatal plate and drilled 3 bolts in there suggest 4 but then he bolted it on there nad its perfect no problems and its still together

That is called a lower mount housing. It will go back together as easily as you took it apart.

When you are done, you can always come help me with my broken swivel bracket. On the 1972 Johnson 65hp model, you have to pull the powerhead to get at the upper mount bolts! Oh, joy!
