I've tried to replace the impeller, I have removed 1 bolt from the rear, 2 on the side, 2 from underneat, what the heck do I use to insert into the hole for the trim tab? is there even anything in there.. BTW Seloc is useless

You do need to pull the trim tab, as there's a bolt underneath.

Also there's a stud in the very front of the gearcase which goes up into the center section. There's a nut on top that you'll want to undo.

If you get stuck on the trim tab and the allen socket is stripped or rusted out, just drill the bolt out from the top. You can find a nice stainless replacement easily enough at the hardware store or local screw specialty house.

Upon reassembly, use some waterproof marine grease such as Sta-Lube on all the bolts/studs and they'll come apart easily the next time the lower unit needs to come down.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, after removing the bolt, the unit came off very easy, now why could the Seloc Manual just say that, no wonder they're worthless.

i agree with you totally. i went threw my seloc manual a few times and in several places it tells you to remove the anode with a tool but doesn't say what. had to get some kindly information from this site. thought i was asking a dumb question. more like asking a smart question because of a dumb manual.
