67 60 hp johnson bogs down at WOT till on plane then runs smooth

Motor idles fine at low idle but when you throttle up it struggles to get on plane bogs down and loses power. Once on plane it runs smooth and fast. Compression is good and even on all cylinders and the carb and fuel pump have been rebuilt and I installed a new condensor. This problem has been driving me nuts I want to get back on the water to fish. I don't have a manual and can't get one becuase I am laid off so any detailed infomation will save me alot of hassel and make me very happy. <br /><br />Thank you for any suggestions!

I would strongly suggest b-4 you spend the money on fishing (gas, bait, new plug b-c you left yours at the house, new paddle b-c it flew out on the way there, or new life jacket cause game wardens are around.)<I know from expeirience: you get a manual. It will make a huge difference. As for your problem, this probably wont help but if you have an inline filter try cleaning it. I have had a similiar problem and that worked wonders. Also check spark gap you manual should tell you what it should be.

Huh it didnt post it all.<br /><br />Ok any way. i suggest you try your best to scrape up the money and get a manual. They are your best friend when working on outboard. Check spark could be a weak plug. Or could be any number of things. A manual will tell you what a good strong spark gap should be.
