Hello everyone, I am in the process of cleaning up a 67 Alumacraft Queen Merrie and need your opinions on a proposed reconfigured dash layout. I had some fun with Photoshop and mocked up the attached two pictures. Which do you prefer or how would you layout a Tach, Speedo, Compass, Volt gauge, Spot Light control, Running light switch, spot light switch, Air horn switch & Tilt/Trim switch. I also attached a before photo of the dash just for giggles.1336509442020.jpgOption 1.jpgOption 2.jpg

Cool boat and photshoppery. I vote for the 2nd configuration. I love all the bling on the bow too. Keep us posted.

Nice dash work!

The wood & teal go together much better then the black dash did.....

Was the wood dash a original option? I saw a pic of another alumacraft done that way. Where did you source your gauges and such?

I'm not sure if a wood dash was ever an option. Mine was plywood with an aluminum skin. I think the oak looks a lot better. I found the gauges from a number of locations. The compass came from EBay, Speedo from Craigslist & I found the NOS tach at marina in NY that was advertising on-line. They are all a matching set of 60's era Airguide instruments.
