Really nice job, she is a glass version of the Tin Holiday model.

Really is that what it is? I only found that model in brochures for a few years and wondered about it's origin? It is a stable deep sided boat that handles well with the Mercruiser 160 inline 6 in it.

Ya have to admit Starcraft made some real nice looking boats even in their glass versions. Your rig is very clean and appears to have been well cared for over the years.

That is how a restored Starcraft should look. I think you did some nice work on her. She looks very classy all decked out in white. Great job.:encouragement:

Yes my boat was well cared for and i got it from the original owner. He did some repairs over the years all done incorrectly, mainly wiring issues. It is a wonder it did not have more problems when i got it as he added everything electrical with house wiring, solid strand type. The only mechanical stuff her did was replace the fuel tanks and they are done ok but i would have coated the fuel sender rings with something to prevent rust as the aluminum tanks are fine but the metal on the senders is rotting. Dissimilar metals in a wet environment are not a good mix. In a year or two i will replace the senders and coat with a rust proof treatment on the exposed surfaces.
I have a question for you guys though
I find the boat rides nose high perhaps too much and trimming in toward the transom takes away the ride quality a bit and drops the free speed also. The boat was designed with the twin 11 gal tanks under the rear seats on the floor, the battery, now batteries mounted above the height of the tanks on the inside of the transom. If I move the twin batteries forward under the front deck in battery boxes will that shift in weight offset the ride enough to worry about it? They are group 24 deep cycle batteries about 40-45 lbs each.

I may be wrong, but for what it would cost in new longer battery cables trim tabs may work better. Should be about the same amount of money, but offer better ride stability no matter how she's loaded.

My advice is to pop for a set of Nauticus Smart Tabs. It will make a huge difference, you won't believe how good they work and simple to install. These are the ones I used on my Chief, the 60# model. Stern heavy boats will jump on a plane in a few seconds, ride smoother in chop and add the lift needed so you can trim out the OD.

Well guys purchased a set of trim tabs and logged a few hours on Georgian Bay last summer, bad summer in Ontario in my area for boating and tabs worked perfect thanks for the idea.
Question, I have been looking online for another boat like mine and its not around at all any more. Is there a Starcraft site that can give me production number for my boat? Did the manufacturer retain this info?
Hoping 2016 is a better boating season here in Ontario the 2015..

I know this thread is a few months old but I believe this is pertinent,.. I just aquired one of these boats too and they are hard to find info on. Apparently a bit rare this model must be. I believe mine is a 69 but I have not found any confirming information aside from what I find here and on the web. I will be doing a similar resto like cdn1972 to mine
cdn1972, your resto looks great!,....do you have any updates?

If they have any updates, most would post them. No posts, probably no updates.
