Greetings,
We have a '69 1969 14 ft Tri-Hull Glastron, V-156 Sportster.

The 40 hp on her has crapped out and we are able to get a 115 hp at no cost if we hall the boat it is currently on to the dump. (don't worry, it is not a Glastron!).

Can our boat handle the 115 HP ??

Thanks!

Going off of reference from the glastron owners website, I would have to say......probably not. The V-156 will only take 85 hp tops. I am thinking of buying a 1974 v-140 and that will take 70 hp.

Check out http://www.classicglastron.com/ for more info. eric.

yep I agree , I have a t166 15,6 foot sportster, and its rated for a 100 hp !! so that 115 is too much for her !! John

i have a 156 that came with a 115........ i plan on getting rid of it and putting a new 15hp 4 stroke......seeing how the lake that i fish doesn't let us make a wake.
