Does my motor lock in the trailering position? I've tried different tilt angles
locking the anti-reverse,blah,blah. Am I a dope? I've had different outboards
over 35 years boating but nothing this old. Any help would be appreciated.

This engine has a tilt lock lever located i front of the engine tilt bracket, marked lock, or un-lock.

That lever keeps it tilted down. For trailering, you'll need a 1-foot long chunk of 1x2...

Thanks fellas. I thought I was going crazy. I just couldn't get it to lock up.
1x2 will have to suffice for now. Wish it had a trailer lock though.

I'd use a transom saver if you're going any distance... And '69 is old? I think I only have 2 engines that are newer than that... the rest are all a lot older :)
