My question is, my lower unit is good, my upper is toast. I talked to a guy that sells used parts, he sold me a 1966 mercruiser/120 sterndrive, he said i should be able to swap out the upper unit and put it on my 165, so i am thinking after reading a bit about this that it might work, the engine that the sterndrive came off of is a 160, so am i out a bunch of money or can this work?? somebody please help a guy out before the wife beats him to death with said sterndrive, joking or mabey not, thanks
