690N What prop is this?

I have researched the net with no avail, so I am looking here. I have a 83' 16' Bayliner with a 4 cy volvo and the 270 penta outdrive. I have no hole shot and only top out on tach at 2400 rpm WOT. So i am leaning on the prop being sized wrong, however, I cant seem to find a prop number except 690N on the prop. And if anyone can help, what is proper size prop for this boat, with average performance expected? (hole shot for ski-ing and decent top water speed) I know nothing is perfect just whats right for a decent balance of both

I don't know what your 690N is. You didn't say how many HP your 4 cyl was. I suspect you should have somewhere in the 14x17 range prop 14x15 more power 14x19 more speed., check out the prop catalog here for crossreferencing and selection

Did you look for numbers under the prop nut?
