Hello,
I have a Chrysler 6hp Short Shaft motor, model 64H9E, S/N x3072. This motor needs a driveshaft that is no longer available from Chrysler/Force/ Mercury. Please let me know if you have a source for one.
Thank you,
Slimbob

What's wrong with the one you have?

You can google "antique outboard motors" "outboard salvage yards" "used outboards" etc.

Thanks for the replies. Sorry, I put that one on the back burner for a while. But, here it is, Spring.

I'm in SE Pennsylvania.
The shaft is twisted at the upper end. Pretty gnarly.
I think the PO did not have the lower unit seated and tried to start the engine.

Saw a couple on E-bay that are close.
Do you think a shaft from a 4hp or a 9-9.9 hp motor would fit, if in the same age time frame?

Thanks!

Not sure of the year you have but the parts crossover says the 8 hp is the max the shaft fits?
Look at the outboard parts sales places that have a crossover for the parts?
I can't list it here as it part of the competition.
