I have a 6hp Evinrude LS tiller that I would like to convert to remote. Is this possible? If so, where can I the parts and controls? Any info would be greatly apprciated. I attached a photo of the ouboard.

Sure it is possible. An Evinrude "Simplex" or Johnson "Ship Master" two-lever control is what you want. They appear on e-bay all the time. Hint: make sure the one you buy has the cables with it, even if the cables are junk. The ends do not come with new cables and have to be removed from the old ones. New cables are available right here at iboats.

You need the attachment to connect the steering to the front carrying handle.

You may need an adapter to attach the shift cable to the lower pan, I'm not sure. Some do and some don't. Even so, you need cable "locks" to attach the cables to the motor. Whatever you need, your local Evinrude dealer can help you. The controls system has been around for over 50 years.

I just switched over my 1979 Johnson 6 hp from tiller to remote. It was easy to do, I actually got a deal on 3 used Johnson remote boxes and bought the brackets and clips needed for the cables on the motor end.
