Seems like everytime I get close to the beach and suck up sand. I get an over heat alarm. Or soon to be. Hits 170 and goes up.
Let it sit over night and no issues. So I'm wanting to replace the thermo anyways. But having a helluva time trying to figure out exactly what engine in have.
It's a 1997 sea ray sundancer

A sea water strainer could be the answer to the cooling system woes.

I will for sure look into this. I’ve only had the boat 2 weeks now. And the 2 times I go tot he beach to hang out. I stir up some sand and this happened. I’m trimmed up also.
