7.5 hp evinrude

I am finally getting close to getting this running. Model #4443-43412. Can't find my old post, Can someone please tell me what the sparkplug gap is on this motor? Also if I remember, I was told to use 24/1 fuel mix? Does that sound correct? Thanks Guys.

Those are actually better at 16:1 mix. 24:1 is okay but 16:1 is actually more ideal for that motor. Spark plugs gap at .030 and points set at .020

Fuel mix on that motor is supposed to be 16:1 (1/2 pint per gallon).

J6C plug gap .030"

51 fleetwin Original plugs J6J set at .030. Fuel mix from that period is 1/2pt per gallon.
Even in 55 the 7.5 was 1/2 pt per gallon.16:1
You might check at www.aomci.org ask if they are running their motors at 24:1
