7.5 Hp Gamefisher

I have acquired a 7.5 Sears Gamefisher Trolling motor Model # 217.585932 and S/N 08-196400. Sears couldn,t tell me excactly what year it was. The parts list they gave me was printed in Feb. 1980. Can any one give a actual date of manufacture. I also would like to know if anyone has an engine cover P/N 110577 and the gear housing cap ( The one on the lower unit with the fin) Are the water pump parts still available?

Theres a guy on E-bay that I've gotten some kits and parts for those motors, pretty reasonable and usually has what I need as far as carbs and electrics. You can use a merc impeller, but you have to make it just a tad larger on the inside. Its usually half the cost though.

I only use merc impellers on my Eskas and I have never had to inlarge the ID, clean the drive shaft maybe but don't be a wingnut and start screwing with the ID of that impeller or she will be slipping her key, its 7/16 +.01

your best bet for best deal on parts is www.certifiedpartscorp.com , use sears to find your part no. and call certified

Perhaps I got the wrong impeller. My original ID was .044 and the Merc impeller I got was .038. Just enough to make it a little too snug so it was just a little polishing, not carving. I'll admit I'm a Wingnut! Around here its a good thing!

Thats funny, thats the same one I used. It was just a tad snug even after I cleaned the shaft up really well. Anyway it works fine.
