7.5 merc serial # (3491466)cannot find anywhere

Just Bought it but have no Idea what year it is . Spend hours looking for it but no luck. Anyone have any suggestions?

Don't quote me but I think it is 1973 : 7.5 hp 2 cyl S/n 3488153 1973

Your serial number comes after the one just mention but before the first serial number for 1974.

Mine is 1973 and it's 3730520 so I'd say yours is 1973 also.
