I picked up a ROUGH Sea King 7.5 at a yard sale for next to nothing. I got her in a barrell and went to pulling. after my right arm nearly fell off I noticed a groung wire from the powerhead to the midsection had been cut and twisted back together. So I untwisted it and took it apart. On the third pull it fired. I unchocked it and it started on the next pull. I let it warm up at a fas idle and then I started decreasing the throttle adjusting the air mixture as I went down. I got it down to where it idled very low and smooth. I put it in gear and gassed on it and it ran like a dream. I was thinking that I had really done something until I put the cowl back on and the engine died. I started it back up without the cowl and gave it some throttle and reinstalled the cowl and It still choked it out. I dont know if there is supose to be any type of air box on the inlet side of the carb, but it doesnt have one. I think it may be sucking exhaust. Can someone shed some light on this for me? Thanks, Chris
