Hey all. I acquired a 72 7 horse. With tecumseh powerhead, made by eska, sold by sears. Great compression, but no spark. Pretty sure it is the Ignition Module. I hear sierra makes a replacement, but no clue how to install it. I am knowledgeable about motors, but not so much electric, so laymen's terms would be appreciated. LOL. Any help would be great.

We need a model number a number of companies made motors for Sears.
Some motors are water cooled others are air cooled power head with a water cooled leg.
If either one wasn't cooling right it may have seized. Take the cover off and try to turn the flywheel by hand.
If the flywheel has fins it is a air cooled power head and the leg would be water cooled. It would get really hot if it wasn't cooling right
very likely would sizzle when it stopped.
Hopefully your recoil starter is broken or some other minor problem.
