'70 55hp missing at idle

Hey all - Got the old girl running dandy she scoots she idle's the whole thing - however she misses while idling - she doesn't attempt to die - just misses - any suggestions?<br /><br />Blessings<br /><br />Norene

It could be a lot of things. MIght be as easy as adjusting the fuel mixture screw on top of the carb or you may need to rebuild carb and clean all the open orifices with a wire and carb cleaner. You could also have a small air leak. Could be other things but that is where I would start. Also you should be using Champion L82C plugs gapped at .030 or if you troll alot us might want to use L86C plugs.
