'70 Boat ID tag

I have a 1970 Ouachita 14 ft fiberglass. To get it licensed, I'm supposed to do a pencil tracing of the Boat ID tag. Where would I find it? I'm afraid it may have gotten removed at some point. Can they be re-issued?

before to 1972 the were not required. your registering agency know this, the clerk may not.
