Hello everyone! New to this site, friend told me about it.. Well I have a old Chrysler outboard and It's almost impossible for me to find parts for it. So I was wondering If someone on here can help me find the lower gear for this model. It's the one with the bearings wrapped around it, not really sure what the proper terminology is for it! It is located on the bottom end near the cone of the propeller, the small one that is connected to the bigger of the two that drives the boat. Why you ask? Because the engine runs like a dream, but last year (after beating it up for two yrs) when shifting to reverse and/or forward it finally gave and busted the teeth off of the gear. So after taking it all apart and finding out why it would not go over 10 mph last time out last year, here I am! Any feedback would be much appreciated!!
