Yes, the current plugs are the "Flat Top" as well that don't have the electrode. I had the same concerns, but aparently it jumps the gap just fine!

Re: 70 HP Chrysler Component Question...

Your thread is great and I have to tell you believe it or not I just bought a 1971 crewscraft boat that has this same exact motor on it. I also am having the same starting issue. If you do not mine me asking what coil did you end up going with because when I bought the boat the guy gave me a tub of new parts and in that tub there was a CDI? My boat engine did not originally come with the cdi. I put the Cdi on the engine and was not getting spark so now like you I am eliminating all the obvious problems it could be and the coil is my next step. Just wondering

That ign.system Chrysler used on their 75 and 105Hp in 1966 and 67. From 1968 the 75 and 105Hp had CDI points ign. johnathan88 are you sure that the CDI is working? Have you wired the ign.system correct? The CDI ign. must have another coli then the battery ign. CDI colis have about 550 ohm at the hi tension side, battery about 6-8000 ohm.
