Got a 94 70 hp force that will start fine but wont run for more than a few seconds can keep running if i keep choking it. Think its the fuel pump but not sure. just put new fuel line in and checked filter seems fine. HELP?????

I rebuild my fuel pump every year just to be safe, less than $20.
Are you getting gas to the carbs.

You must be getting good fuel pressure, because the choke is actually a fuel enrichment valve on that motor, and it works off fuel pressure from the pump.

But it is a good idea to rebuild it every few years.

More than likely, the idle mixture screw is partially clogged with gum or debris. Or there is an air leak between the carb and the intake manifold.

Easy to remove and flush, but the carb may need disassembly and cleaning.

If you are going to do the work yourself, start by getting a Clymer Force repair manual, then do the idle mixture screw, or a complete carb rebuild.

Then start in on the maintenance items like, fuel pump diaphragm, water pump, new fuel lines, etc.

Ok got Clymer Force repair manual ordered but cant find info on carb. Got a stamping on it that reads tc111b345 but cant figure out which kit to order. BTW the engine says 0e068052 on a sticker but cant find any info on it. Gona do rebuild on both pump and carb just to be safe.
