I just picked up a boat from my brother. It wouldn't run worth a damn (would barely idle, and wouldn't get more than about 30% power). You would get about 30 feet from the dock and it would die completely. So, I rebuilt both carbs, put on a new fuel pump, and replaced all the old fuel lines. The points were corroded so I cleaned an adjusted them. Now it fires up and sounds okay out of the water with the rabbit ears on it. Once I put it in the river it idled okay. I took off from the dock and it jumped right up on a plane. About 80 feet from the dock it stalled, and then never would stay running for after that. Any thoughts?
