70hp Mercury lower unit

Hi guys I have a mid to later 80's mercury 70hp. The motor is shot but the lower unit appears great. Can anyone tell me what other motors this will fit? It has just the one spline drive, shifting rod connects at midsection. Looks just like this! thanks

That looks to me to be the 1987-1988 model. Dont know if its the long or short shaft from here. You will need to know by model/serial number.
