I have a 74 650 that I have replaced the powerhead on (not sure what year the powerhead is) everything bolted up ok to the spacer but the cooling line routing and the fuel pump were different. There are 4 lines on the fuel pump. 2 of them are fuel lines and pump fuel fine. What are the other 2 for? From the bends in the old line it seemed that they were hooked up to the cooling lines. but there is no flow between them. I cannot find anything in the manual for cooling line routing, and everything I find on the fuel pump shows a 2 hose pump. What did I get myself into?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

My 1975 merc 650 had the water hoses going thru the fuel pump, not sure how that worked seemed weird to me. Unfortunately I have already parted out that engine, I could have sent you a photo of the right side.
