'71 50hp Evinrude - won't idle

I have a '71 50hp Evinrude that is giving me trouble. Last year, it would idle but couldn't get it up to high speeds. This spring, I pulled and cleaned the carbs (again), replaced all the fuel lines, and have replaced the fuel pump. Now, it runs great at high speeds, but I can't get it to idle down. I've tried adjusting the needle valves, but no luck. It just bogs down and dies when I get below a fast idle.<br /><br />Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum!<br /><br />If it were me I would do a link and sync. on it. You can find the info in an OEM service manual. May find one at your local library. or order one on line.<br /><br />gives detailed instructions plus photos. As they say pictures are worth a thousand words.<br /><br />Good luck!
