purchased a 71 block thinking it was same as my burnt 76. Only until I tried to mount coils did I notice that there were no mounts on the head. I have a good head from a dif 76 and was identical except for coil mounts . proceeded to assemble and only other dif was the neutral start mount. (usually disregard anyway)got motor together and started without too much effort and sounded good until i raised rpms to fast idle and sounded like flywheel was stiking coil (dont ask me how i know that sound) so I pulled flywheel checked all for tightness and look fine. i did notice after i was about to give up and hand over to mechanic that there was a little play( side to side movement of crank, bearly noticeable but it is there) could that be the cause of the noise? if so, with good compression could i possibly just replace crank bearings and not do full rebuild? any input appreciated thanks
