So I am the proud owner of a brand new to me 1971 18 HP long shaft, good compression.
I plan on rebuilding the carb, fuel pump, ignition and doing a link and sync. I have a Seloc manual and have read the portions I need to do this several times; but I still have a few unanswered questions.
1) Choke linkage. The chock knob and all associated linkage are missing. I can't find a good image of the carburetor, or a good diagram, to show how it is all supposed to go together.
My questions is this; can I get the parts I need and if so how do I find the part numbers?

2) Low Speed knob and linkage. The low speed knob and linkage are also missing.
Same question; can I still get the parts and if so how do I find the correct numbers?

3) Kill switch. No dead man switch (or whatever you call it). I want a switch that I can clip to myself to kill the motor in the event that I go overboard while underway.
Can I get this here (iboats)?
I read the tutorial on the tell tale for water pickup and I want to add one of those as well, I have those part numbers, but I am not sure where to drill the hole in the head, does this look like a good place? (Sorry it appears I have misplaced that photo.
)
I know, she's in pretty bad shape, but it is the exact motor I wanted otherwise.
Any suggestions?
