71 evinrude lark 50hp fuel problems

My 71 50hp evinrude lark is acting up,was running great now the only way i can get it started is put gas in carb,runs until gas is burned up then quits,has new fuel tank,new fuel line and primer,i cleaned out fuel screen unit.Primer is as hard as a rock but its not getting fuel to carbs,any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you check the fuel pump?

check compression, spark and while you have the plugs off check to see if the cylinders have a gas smell to them. i would look for wet plugs also and see if there is more than a desired amount of gas on them. it could be a flooding problem as well and if the plugs look saturated that would be a sign.

i would also check for a one way / anti syphon valve at the tank. these sometimes become clogged and create a low fuel delivery problem.
