I checked the idle advance while on the flushette. I cant get 5 degrees advance, that revs the motor too much with the throttle completely closed. Is that just a ballpark recommendation or is there something wrong(like it should be in gear in the water)? Thanks

I just set mine this weekend. 5 deg advance is what you should have when the roller meets the center of the mark on the cam. If not then you will have to adjust the yoke and or roller on the carb. I am thinking I had about 1200 rpm out of water.
