All the wiring is right. The battery is charged. It was trying to start one day for a few hours and then I gave it a rest for about an hour and came back to it not even trying to turn over. I turn the key and nothing. Fuse isn't blown. I have volts at the switch, battery, solenoid. However, when I test the battery lead on the solenoid it's 12.6, when I turn the key to start the other two terminals read 12.6. The bottom terminal going to the starter reads zero.. I tried putting another solenoid on it that I got off ebay and same thing. Bottom terminal to the starter reads zero. I don't know what happened. Any ideas?

Take a screwdriver and jump your terminals on the solenoid and see if it cranks. If it does then you bought a bad solenoid.

If the solenoid clicks when the key is turned and no voltage to the starter, you have a defective solenoid.

If I take a wire and touch it to the battery terminal on the solenoid and the starter terminal it cranks but the wire gets really hot. But yeah if I touch both terminals then the motor will jump but it doesnt keep trying to start, it just cranks once.
