HI, Im new to boating and new to the site. I'm recently the owner of a 73 14.5ft chrysler tri-hull with a 72 50 hp johnson Loop Charged. She's a real honey, but i dont think i'll be cruising into the Yacht club with her. It is in good shape though and a mechanic friend of mine has got it running decent although he usaully works on cars. Something we did notice is that 2 wires are corroded off that run into the side of the engine. The wire comes from the junction box and runs around to the opposite side of the engine and right into engine wall. Looks like a tricky job to get them reattached. Is it for a thermostat or charging maybe? The engine runs fine regardless. Any input would be appreciated. thanks
