I have a 1972 650 merc that may start cold but soon quits with no spark. 5years ago replaced switch box and pickup. I have power to switch box and pickup with the key on. What could be wrong? Any test suggestions appreciated.
I'm haveing the same problem with a 74' 650... I made a post like this also but got no reply. If I get it figured out I will post back and let you know what fixed it. Hope you will do the same!
